Pigeon Point Lighthouse affords views of some of California's most spectacular coastal scenery and is one of the most frequently photographed lighthouses in the world. The lighthouse tower is open with docent-led tours to the top of the tower and are conducted on most Sundays throughout the year and on Saturdays and Sundays during the summer.

Montara Lighthouse on the rugged California Coast, sits the Point Montara fog signal and light station. Established in 1875, the historic lighthouse and turn-of-the-century buildings have been preserved. The keeping house, located at 16th Street and Cabrillo Highway, now operates as a hostel.
